“Bad Hare Day”

Robert Deyber

ARTIST ROBERT DEYBER 2009 NATIONAL TOUR AT GEARY STREET-UNION SQUARE AND WILL INTRODUCE HIS LATEST PAINTINGS, HAND-SIGNED PRINTS AND NEW BOOK, “A LANGUAGE ALL HIS OWN”

SAN FRANCISO – Martin Lawrence Galleries, America’s premier gallery of fine art invites you to join us on February 12th from 6-8 pm to meet artist Robert Deyber, where he continues his 2009 national tour.  One man exhibitions of his work will take place across the United States during the entire month of February 2009.

Shows will feature new original works by the artist as well as his second series of hand-signed limited edition prints that were hand-crafted in Paris.  Mr. Deyber will be available to dedicate prints and sign his newly published 131 page book featuring a compilation of his original paintings and limited edition lithographs.

Considered a ‘visual raconteur’ or storyteller with a paintbrush, Robert Deyber has artistic roots that hail from the Surrealist movement. He considers René Magritte and Salvador Dali among his heroes.  His works contain unpredictable imagery, rich humor, and roiling skies that also identify with the Hudson River School of the 19th century.

New York Times Art Critic, William Zimmer, wrote that his paintings are “remarkable… humorous” and “characterize the resilience of the American spirit.”  “We naturally cozy up to the surrealism, surrealism of the deep sky and infinite space that captivated us in the 1930s.”

Deyber’s collectors include Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, TV’s Judge Judy, film producers, screenwriters, US Senators and many corporations.

To request a media kit or arrange an interview with the artist, please contact John Atanasio, Managing Director at (415) 454-0222 or e-mail at gearydirector@martinlawrence.com.  Martin Lawrence Galleries is located at 366 Geary Street,
